More Inspired By Cards

Hi everyone!
It's Cristina here, and today I have a couple of "Inspired by" cards for you. The challenge going on right now here on the blog, it's all about being inspired by Hero artists, so why don't you give it a go? Their blog is full of inspiration and you could win a gift certificate for Simon Says Stamp, our sponsor.
First of all I should say that today is my hubby's birthday, and as he is away  for a couple of months, I decided to make this his birthday post (if you don't mind ;-)). So the cards I made today are a bit masculine, but not too much, cause he does like cute too!
My first card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire. I love her style and I always love what she creates. I was inspired by this card:
And here is mine:
I decided to go for stars instead of circles and I used her card as a sketch. I just used some distress inks to stamp the stars, and then I tone them down using Antique Linen Distress ink.
For my second card I was inspired by Lucy Abrams. I love what she does with the Hero Arts digikits and her CAS style is just so cute. This is the card that inspired me:
Here is my take:
I decided to make something different with this card, and I cut half of the front off, so the card opens like this:
It's just something unexpected that makes the card different.
For my last card, I decided to do a birthday card, inspired by Lisa Spangler. She is the Queen of washi tape, and her cards are always colorful and fun. Here is the one that inspired me:
I decided to go for darker colors, and of course, there had to be washi tape:
I just love that little robot, it's perfect for coloring!

So, go get inspired by the amazing artists from Hero Arts and make something  today! Thanks for stopping by!

All of these are great. I wonder if we'll start seeing more 1/2-front cards now. That's really a great idea. Happy birthday to your husband. It's not quite the same as having him home, but think of all the good wishes he'll get by you letting the world know it's a special day.
