For the cards I made today, I used two of my favorite techniques that I have seen on Jennifer's cards. The first one is coloring with Distress markers which is shown in this card HERE, and the other is the use of fun acetate windows that is seen on this beautiful card HERE.
For the first card, I embossed my stamped image and colored it in, I added the acetate panel to the card and stamped my greeting in Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. I am really loving this new Square Pattern background, it was definitely fun to color in with Distress markers. When I was done coloring, I gave the piece a quick spray of water with a mini mister to get the soft watercolor effect.
This card front started as all white, to make the coordinating paper strips that are on either side of the window, I simply colored the small strips with one of the same Distress markers that I used to color in the card. I also colored in the wooden shapes with the markers so they would coordinate.
For my second card, I took a different approach and stamped and embossed the square background in black and colored the squares in a rainbow pattern, and stamped my sentiment on the inside of the card. I added a few gems to enhance the window:

Fantastic cards. I just don't work with acetate and I need to.
These cards are the kind that people keep touching over and over! So much texture in the design and the acetate really grabs the attention.
