I think the kissing technique is SO much fun... it's a great way to give your favorite images a cool new twist:
For this card, I inked the lovely leaf image with green ink, the graph background with brown ink, and then kissed the two together. Clear stamps are great for this technique, because you can see through them and line up your images a certain way if you want, prior to kissing them together.
I almost fussy cut the leaves image entirely, but instead, left a little bit uncut for the setiment. It's similar to a technique Julie Ebersole showcased over on the Hero Arts blog last Wednesday called "Out of the Box", but a bit more extreme.
And here's a couple fussy cutting tips for you:
1. Use the centers of your scissor blades as opposed to just the tips
2. Move the paper while cutting, not your scissors
You can see Julie doing both in the video. These tricks will give you more control, making the cutting faster and more accurate with less fatigue.
I hope you enjoy. :) Remember, there's only a few days left of the challenge! Link up your kissed creations HERE, by the 26th at 5pm EST for your shot at a generous gift voucher..
