Different ways to use banners

It's Cristina here. First of all, I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes and specially the rest of the DT girls for the great cards they made for me. If you haven't seen them yet, you must, cause they are gorgeous, so click here!

As you should know by now, the Stretch Your Stamps class is starting soon, and we have a giveaway going on here on the blog. This is gonna be a great class, cause it is always nice to find new ways to use a stamp!

So today, I have different uses for banners. It is one of those stamps that we all have, but that we always tend to use the same way, and I have to say that they are quite versatile. Here is the stamp set I used:

I used this set a couple of weeks ago, just as a banner, on a card I made for Danielle's birthday. But here is another use:

I just used the tips of the pennants to make the sun rays. If you would like to make a bigger sun, you could just turn them around, like Danielle did on her card on this post.

With this stamp set you can also make trees:

They make the perfect trees! I decided to make an acetate window, to give the card some dimension. I love acetate cards!

Using an stamp-a-ma-jig, you can create great backgrounds with this stamps:

Just use a repeat pattern and different inks. Oh, and this is really good for masculine cards!

And for the last card I decided to use this stamp as an ice cream cone:

Just clear emboss it on Kraft paper! For the actual ice cream I used this Christmas stamp from Hero Arts. Crazy, right?
